Suryaa News Desk: Penamaluru Circle Inspector N. Venkata Narayana has urged the public to celebrate Diwali safely. Addressing the media, the Inspector advised that individuals should remain vigilant while bursting firecrackers, with parents providing special supervision for children.

The police advised that firecrackers should be burst only in open areas and kept away from residential homes, vehicles, electrical wires, transformers, petrol bunks, and other flammable materials. Fireworks should not be held in the hand. If a firecracker fails to ignite, individuals should wait before approaching it and avoid attempting to relight it. Water buckets and sand should be kept accessible, and it is recommended to wear cotton clothing that fits close to the body rather than loose garments. Protective measures for the eyes were also advised. Smoking or using other sources of fire near firecracker areas is prohibited. In the event of burns, the affected area should be cleaned with cold water before seeking medical assistance.

Regarding purchases, the public is advised to buy firecrackers only from authorized shops and to avoid products lacking quality or manufacturing details. The use of high-noise or dangerous firecrackers should be avoided. Firecrackers should not be burst on roads to prevent inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians.

At firecracker stalls, the public is requested to maintain discipline, avoid crowding, and refrain from smoking in the vicinity. Cooperation with safety arrangements at these shops is required. In the Penamaluru police station limits, firecracker shops will be available only until Sunday evening.

Vendors are required to adhere to official permissions and safety regulations, including maintaining fire extinguishers, sand buckets, and water drums. The Inspector warned that legal action will be taken against those who violate these regulations. The police department stated that its primary goal is the protection of life and property, and requested public cooperation.
