Suryaa Business Desk: Motilal Oswal Financial Services has maintained a bullish outlook on Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone following the company's announcement to acquire the European liquid storage terminal operator Evos B.V. The brokerage firm reaffirmed its 'buy' rating on the stock with a target price of ₹2,170, noting that the strategic deal, valued at approximately 2.56 billion euros (over ₹23,000 crore), strengthens Adani Ports' position in the international port and logistics sector.
The acquisition provides Adani Ports with eight liquid storage terminals across five European countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and Spain. Motilal Oswal estimates this will add 6.3 million cubic meters of liquid storage capacity and 37 million metric tonnes of annual cargo handling capacity to the company's international portfolio. The brokerage noted that entering these key hubs for international fuel transport and chemical storage supports the company's global expansion goals.
Motilal Oswal projects that improved operational efficiency and increased storage utilization could lead to double-digit returns on capital employed from the Evos business over the next two to three years. The brokerage further forecasts an annual average growth rate of 17 percent in total revenue, 18 percent in EBITDA, and 21 percent in net profit for Adani Ports between the 2026 and 2028 fiscal years. The report stated that acquiring infrastructure assets with stable global cash flows is expected to create long-term value for shareholders.
