Following reports that claimed Kareena Kapoor was previously approached for the role of Sita but was excluded due to her high remuneration demands, the actress has addressed the matter.
Kareena Kapoor clarified that she was never approached for the role of Sita in Ramayana and that no discussions regarding the film took place. She stated that there is no truth to the reports claiming she demanded double the remuneration or that she opted out of the project.
Alongside these rumors, there were reports that Kannada actress Srinidhi Shetty had auditioned for the role before the production team selected Sai Pallavi.
