Suryaa Telangana Desk: Allegations are surfacing over illegal building constructions and the erection of massive commercial sheds in violation of rules in Turkayamjal and Thorrur divisions under the Adibatla circle. In areas such as Kammaguda and Ragannaguda, builders obtained approvals for G+2 structures but are constructing three to four floors, alongside massive commercial sheds in some locations.
Locals allege that carrying out constructions beyond permitted limits is causing a loss of revenue to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). Residents have requested that officials conduct inspections during the construction phase itself to prevent these irregularities.
Addressing the issue, Circle Deputy Commissioner Satyanarayana Reddy stated that all building constructions must strictly comply with GHMC rules. He added that if extra floors or massive commercial sheds are found to have been constructed in violation of approved permissions, field-level inspections will be conducted and action will be taken according to rules. However, it remains to be seen what steps officials will take regarding the ongoing construction of large sheds in these divisions.
