Suryaa Sports Desk: Hyderabad-based racer Jeet Jhabakh has secured the FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Championship title. Jhabakh is the first driver in the 38-year history of the championship to win the overall title using a two-wheel-drive car.
He finished the season with a total of 73 points, maintaining a lead over his rivals throughout the competition. Jhabakh secured top positions at the Otago Rally in New Zealand, the South India Rally in Chennai, and performed in the Indonesia Rally.
Jhabakh credited his success to the support of his co-driver, Musa, and his team of engineers. Having previously competed in national racing championships, Jhabakh achieved this international title shortly after transitioning to the rally circuit. He stated that this victory is a beginning and that his goal is to win further international championships.
