Education Staff Reporter: The state president of Girijana Nava Samaj founder Sivashankar Naik and the founder of Tribal Student Federation Chandrasekhar Naik have demanded that Janardhan Bhavan (J block) hostel built for the convenience of differently abled students in SVU should be allotted to them and provide free board and lodging. To this extent, on Wednesday, VC Tata together with Narsinga Rao handed over the petition.
He said that in memory of late S Janardhan, an alumnus of the Department of Mathematics, his family members had built Janardhan Bhavan free of charge for the convenience of differently-abled students with their donation. Janardhan, who graduated with distinction in mathematics, said that a hostel building with many facilities was constructed in his memory with the intention that other students would not have to face the difficulties he faced. At present, the officials have expressed their concern that due to providing accommodation to other students in this building, differently talented students are facing severe difficulties.
They demanded that the authorities should immediately address the problems faced by the differently-abled students and contribute to their educational development. CM Goud Tirupati Staff Reporter
