At Bambori Bridge on the Girna River on the outskirts of Jalgaon, a passenger car was hit by a speeding container truck. In this terrible accident, three young people who were traveling in the car died on the spot due to serious injuries.
The deceased are relatives of the same family: The police have identified the deceased as Pankaj Prakash Chaudhary (30), Ravindra Arun Chaudhary (30) and Harish Himmat Chaudhary (32) of Jhurkheda village of Dharangaon taluk. All three are related to each other. The accident took place on the Bambori bridge when they were returning to their village by car after dropping their relative at Jalgaon. Due to the severity of the accident, the front part of the car was completely crushed. Traffic Jam – Case Registration: On receiving the information, the taluka police immediately reached the spot and took rescue measures.
The dead bodies were recovered and shifted to Jalgaon Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. Due to the accident, heavy traffic was blocked on both sides of the bridge, and with the help of cranes, the vehicles were removed to the side and traffic was restored. The police have registered a case and started investigation. Locals are expressing concern over the increase in vehicle traffic on the Jalgaon road due to the repair work of the bypass road and a series of accidents.
