Five-time champions CSK are moving fast towards cleaning up their support staff. As part of this, the franchise ended its 19-year association with former Australian cricketer Mike Hussey, who was the team's batting coach. It is known that Mike Hussey has played a key role in CSK's success since the first season of IPL 2008 as a player and then as a batting coach. Bidding farewell to Mike Hussey, CSK management took to social media to share an emotional message.

The runs he gave as a player on the field and the guidance he gave to the young players as a coach will never be forgotten. Fondly known as Husmaster by his fans, he praised his services. Along with Hussey, long-time bowling coach Eric Simmons, assistant coach Rajeev Kumar and fielding coach James Foster have also been roped in by the management. In the wake of these massive changes, CSK has announced their new support staff. Former England spinner Gareth Batty has been appointed as the team's assistant coach. He recently had a track record of leading Surrey to three consecutive county championships. Also, Gareth Batty has a good rapport with the new head coach Zaheer Khan.

On the other hand, the franchise has decided to appoint former Chennai bowler and former Indian pacer Mohit Sharma as bowling coach. It seems that the management has taken such tough decisions because Chennai Super Kings have suffered a series of failures in the last few seasons. After winning the title in 2023, being confined to the lower positions in the points table in the 2024, 2025 and 2026 seasons has seriously disappointed the fans. With this, Stephen Fleming, who has been the head coach for a decade, has also been replaced and a new coaching team has been prepared under the leadership of Zaheer Khan. With new strategies and new coaching staff, CSK is determined to become champions again in the upcoming season. Also Read: Team India found a rare diamond..
