Suryaa Sports Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced a venue change for the first ODI of the upcoming series against Sri Lanka. The match, originally scheduled to be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, has been shifted to the ACA-VDCA International Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
The board stated that the decision was prompted by concerns regarding air quality, severe smog, and pollution levels in Delhi during the winter season, which could impact player health. Additionally, the BCCI took into account a request from the Delhi and District Cricket Association, noting that ongoing renovation and infrastructure modernization work at the Delhi stadium might not be completed on time.
The first ODI is scheduled for December 13. Following this opening match in Visakhapatnam, the second ODI will take place in Bengaluru, and the third will be held in Ahmedabad. Preparations are currently underway in Visakhapatnam to host the event.
