Suryaa News Desk: The Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Federation has demanded a government inquiry into the death of credit society manager Gorthi Srinivasa Rao, who went missing approximately ten days ago. Former state president of the federation, Venkata Ramaraju, issued a statement on Friday regarding the case.

Gorthi Srinivasa Rao, who served as a senior accounts manager and in-charge manager for Rajahmundry and Tirupati branches, reportedly jumped into the Godavari River on the 28th of last month. His body has not yet been located. Before the incident, Srinivasa Rao allegedly sent a note via cellphone to his family members and certain Brahmin organizations, naming four individuals responsible for his death.

Venkata Ramaraju stated that while the police have registered a case, it remains unclear whether the four named individuals have been questioned. He further alleged that corruption amounting to approximately 1.9 crore rupees has occurred within the credit society. He claimed that Srinivasa Rao had previously brought these issues to the chairman's attention without result, and expressed concern that the corruption is now being blamed on a single individual.

The federation has questioned why the police department has not provided updates on this case. They have demanded that the four individuals named in the note be suspended from their positions and that the government conduct a thorough investigation. Venkata Ramaraju has appealed to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to order a magisterial inquiry to address the concerns raised by the Brahmin community.
