Suryaa International Desk: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed strong dissatisfaction regarding reports of a major corruption scandal within the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). Zelensky stated that such irregularities within a key agency responsible for national security and funding during wartime are unacceptable.

Preliminary reports indicate that certain SBU officials allegedly engaged in corruption related to government tenders and defense procurement. In response, the President has ordered a high-level investigation and called for strict criminal action against those responsible.

Zelensky announced that new guidelines will be implemented immediately to ensure transparency and eliminate corruption within the defense sector. He emphasized that corruption will not be tolerated within the government or the defense establishment. Political analysts have expressed concern that the involvement of a primary security agency in such controversies could impact Ukraine's international reputation. Meanwhile, there are public demands for a transparent investigation and strict punishment for those found guilty, particularly regarding the proper utilization of financial and military aid from Western nations.
