Suryaa News Desk: Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has criticized the results of the Andhra Pradesh local body elections. Through the social media platform X, he addressed Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the police department, and the State Election Commission.
Jagan alleged that the opposition was denied the opportunity to compete in the elections. He claimed that irregularities occurred at every stage of the electoral process, including the filing, scrutiny, and withdrawal of nominations, which he described as being hijacked. Furthermore, he alleged that polling agents were removed from centers, polling percentages were managed, and the counting process was manipulated.
Describing the outcome as a selection by the coalition government rather than an election by the people, Jagan called for immediate electoral reforms to protect democracy and restore public faith in the voting process. He tagged the Election Commission of India in his post, using the hashtag #CBNJungleRaj.
