Suryaa Sports Desk: Indian cricketers Vijay Shankar, KS Bharat, and spinner Murugan Ashwin have registered for the upcoming Afghanistan Premier League (APL) draft. The tournament is scheduled to take place in the UAE, with the player draft set to be held in Dubai on Tuesday, November 3.
The organizers received applications from approximately 1,500 Afghan and international cricketers, shortlisting 462 players after a review process. These players have been divided into five categories: Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Emerging.
Vijay Shankar, KS Bharat, and Murugan Ashwin have been placed in the Gold category for the draft. Vijay Shankar has previously represented IPL teams including Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Gujarat Titans, while KS Bharat has played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals. There is significant interest regarding which franchises will select these three players during the November 3 draft.
