Suryaa Telangana Desk: Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy submitted a representation to State IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, requesting the immediate allocation of land for the construction of a permanent building for the government degree college in the Uppal constituency. During a meeting at the Secretariat, the MLA highlighted the higher education needs of local students and the challenges currently faced by the college.

The MLA stated that a government degree college with its own building is essential to provide quality higher education to students from poor and middle-class families in the Uppal area. He explained that for the past six years, the college has been operating within the premises of a local government school due to the lack of a permanent building.

The representation noted that conducting classes in a school building causes inconvenience to both school and degree students. It further stated that it is currently impossible to provide necessary infrastructure such as laboratories, a library, and a playground to accommodate the number of students. The MLA emphasized that a fully equipped college building in the constituency would spare thousands of students from traveling long distances for their higher education.

MLA Lakshma Reddy requested the Minister to identify and allocate suitable government land for the college and to sanction the necessary funds for construction. Minister Sridhar Babu responded positively to the request and assured that he would speak with the relevant officials to expedite the process of land inspection and allocation.
