Veldurthi Surya Representative Ruler Major News. The by-election battle for the seat of Veldurthi Mandal Praja Parishad (ZPTC) has become interesting.
The main contest was between Telugu Desam and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) as the nomination of the Vaikapa candidate was withdrawn as the seat was unreserved for women. As a result, there are only two women candidates left in the field. Nayakanti Sunithamma is competing as a BSP candidate with Modepalli Shailaja Subbarayudu on behalf of the Telugu Desam Party. TDP candidate Shailaja has experience of contesting as an MP in the past (2014-2019). On the other hand, BSP candidate Sunithamma is contesting for the JPTC seat for the first time.
Polling for the JPTC election will be held on November 5 next month. Voters in the mandal are interestingly debating whether they will favor the experienced TDP candidate or give a chance to the BSP candidate who entered the ring for the first time. We have to wait and see what the public's verdict is going to be! Surya Representative K Rajasekhar Veldurthi Mandal, Kurnool District
