Purges and selection of new players in the Indian cricket team is always a topic of discussion. Especially at a time when young talent is being given priority in limited overs cricket, there are various speculations about the fate of senior players. The news that senior batsman Shreyas Iyer, who is struggling hard for a place in the team, has received a backlash from the selectors and management has become a hot topic in the sports circles. On the other hand, the discussion is going on that the doors of Team India are opening for the young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who is enjoying sensational performances in the domestic tournaments.
Things are not going well for Shreyas Iyer, who is hoping to make his debut in the Indian T20 team. Despite his consistent performances in the middle-order, it has become difficult to consider his name in the current team composition. Shreyas Iyer's chances in the national team seem to have faded away as the competition from aggressive young players is increasing. It is becoming a big challenge for the senior players as the captain and coaching staff come up with new plans for the future. At the same time, the name of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who is attracting everyone's attention with his excellent batting skills at a very young age, is being heard prominently. There are signs that this young player, who has shown exceptional talent in domestic Ranji and other formats, may soon make his debut for India in the shorter format of cricket.
It is reported that the selectors are leaning towards Vaibhav as he has the ability to score runs at a pace suitable for modern cricket. The decline of the seniors due to the aggressiveness of the younger players is a sign of a new change in Indian cricket. It is indeed a tough testing time for players like Shreyas who are looking to establish themselves in the team. There is great excitement among the cricket fans as to who will get a place in the teams to be announced for the upcoming series. Analysts are of the opinion that if talented guys like Vaibhav Suryavanshi are given a chance, the team will become stronger.
