Suryaa News Desk: TDP leader Sudha Reddy, wife of Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Nani, stated that failing to request a recount for the Tirupati Rural ZPTC election results was a significant mistake. Sudha Reddy alleged that there were major irregularities during the counting process and expressed strong objections to the counting room being changed at 3:30 AM.
She noted that the defeat was recorded by a margin of 600 votes, while there were over 2,000 invalid votes. Sudha Reddy stated that although they strongly considered filing a recount petition, they refrained due to requests from the Chevireddy family. She explained that members of the Chevireddy family had requested they not proceed, expressing concern that if the younger son lost the ZPTC election after his elder brother had already lost an election, he might fall into depression. She stated that they decided against the recount based on humanitarian grounds.
