Disbursement of ₹1,556 crore in the last financial year.. Efforts are being made to establish 50 non-profit hospitals across the country!

Surya Corporate & Healthcare Desk, Mumbai: Tata Trusts, a leading philanthropic organization that continues to be a leader in domestic philanthropy, has further expanded its service footprint in community development. In the financial year 2025-26 (FY26), the organization has disbursed a record amount of ₹1,556 crore for the development of education, public health, rural development, drinking water and sanitation sectors, official sources said. The representatives of the trust clarified that this huge distribution was undertaken towards providing quality living standards to the lower classes of the country and providing modern services to economically backward families. Nationwide super specialty healthcare revolution: Tata Trusts is taking a new step towards strengthening the healthcare sector. The organization has prepared a grand plan to set up around 40 to 50 non-profit hospitals in the second and third tier cities across the country in the next few years.

A network of these hospitals is being created with the intention of bringing critical medical services like cancer care, heart related diseases and maternal and child care to the poor in rural and urban areas at the most affordable cost. Modern infrastructure and voluntary partnerships: Modern medical equipment and advanced diagnostics centers will be made available in these hospitals in collaboration with governments, NGOs and international research centers. Not only treatment but also early diagnosis and special training of local medical staff will be focused on. Medical and social analysts believe that the record disbursement of funds in the last financial year and the construction of 50 non-profit hospitals in the coming days will usher in a revolutionary change in the country's health sector.
