Suryaa Entertainment Desk: The Tamil Nadu government has issued key orders regarding the operation of cinema theaters across the state, granting permission for special early morning 6 AM shows that had been suspended for the past three years. Providing relief to general audiences, the government rejected a proposal submitted by theater owners to increase ticket prices.
According to the new guidelines, theaters are permitted to run shows from 6 AM to 2:30 AM past midnight during the first week of a new film's release. Furthermore, theaters can screen up to a maximum of six shows per day on weekends and festival holidays. These new rules will come into immediate effect starting with the release of popular Tamil actor Suriya's latest film.
Suriya's fans and the Tamil film industry have expressed happiness over the decision taken by the government. Average moviegoers expressed strong satisfaction as ticket prices were not increased.
