Suryaa Entertainment Desk: The film Summer Holidays, directed by Srikar Nayan and produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni, explores the academic pressure placed on children and the impact on their childhood. Released for Diwali, the film stars Master Arun Dev and Master Rohan in lead roles, with Jayasudha, Rajeev Kanakala, Harshavardhan, and Vasuki in key roles.

The story follows Ravuri Venkatesh, also known as RV (Arun Dev), a primary school student in Hyderabad who loves cricket but faces constant pressure from his father (Harshavardhan) to prioritize academics and rankings. To escape this, RV spends his summer holidays at the village home of his grandmother, Susheelamma (Jayasudha). There, he meets a local boy named KV (Rohan). KV, facing financial difficulties, leases mango trees from Varma (Rajeev Kanakala) with the goal of buying his mother a new saree. The plot centers on the friendship between RV and KV, how RV’s education helps in cultivating the mango orchard, and the subsequent changes in their lives.

Director Srikar Nayan presents a narrative focused on the burden of parental expectations and the freedom found in village life during summer vacations. The film emphasizes the friendship between the two boys and the emotional connection with the grandmother’s character. It is described as a clean, emotional, feel-good drama.

Master Arun Dev and Master Rohan are noted for their performances, while Jayasudha provides a strong supporting role. Rajeev Kanakala, Harshavardhan, and Vasuki also feature in the film. Technically, the background score and music by Sinjith Erramilli are credited with elevating the film's emotions, while the cinematography captures the village atmosphere and mango orchards. The film is presented as a family-friendly production that highlights childhood memories and friendship.
