Suryaa Sports Desk: Indian cricket team's main pacer Jasprit Bumrah has an important news regarding the upcoming limited overs series against New Zealand... An important piece of news has surfaced regarding Indian cricket team's main pacer Jasprit Bumrah's upcoming limited overs series against New Zealand. It seems that Bumrah is likely to miss the five-match ODI series against the Kiwis starting from November 4. It is reported that the Team India management, which is focusing on the prestigious two-match Test series starting from November 19, has taken this decision so that the workload does not fall on him. In the current situation, the Indian team management is giving the highest priority to red-ball cricket and Tests over ODIs.
It seems that Bumrah, who is coming back from injury, is expected to be fully prepared for the longer format rather than bringing him directly into the ODI ring. As part of this, it has been reported that arrangements are being made to play Bumrah in the unofficial Test match to be held against the New Zealand A team from November 7 to 10. The selectors are following this strategy to ensure that the Indian team maintains fitness in the upcoming series and also to ensure that the workload does not fall on the key players. As Bumrah's services are crucial in Test cricket, the management is careful not to overburden his body. Although he was not selected for the ODI series, it seems certain that he will be the main weapon in the Test series that will be held after that.
Currently, Team India's main aim is to prepare a senior player like Bumrah, who is the best pacer in world cricket, for the longer format. Regarding this news, an official statement from BCCI is likely to come out soon. However, there is no doubt that the presence of Bumrah in the upcoming Test on Kiwi soil will boost the confidence of the Indian team.
