Actor Siddharth Bodke plays the role of Sahara Group founder Subrata Roy. The series is based on the book Sahara: The Untold Story, written by journalist Tamal Bandyopadhyay. It depicts Subrata Roy's life journey, the financial controversies surrounding his business empire, legal challenges, and his long-running legal battle with SEBI.
Director Hansal Mehta previously directed Scam 1992 based on the Harshad Mehta scam and Scam 2003 based on the Abdul Karim Telgi stamp paper scam. The makers have announced that Scam 2010 will stream worldwide on the OTT platform Sony LIV in January next year.
