Suryaa Entertainment Desk: Actress Rupali Ganguly has approached the Bombay High Court to protect her personality rights, citing the unauthorized use of her photographs and identity. In her petition, she stated that certain individuals and organizations are using her images without permission.

The actress expressed concern over the increasing use of artificial intelligence technology to morph her images and create deepfake videos. She noted that her likeness is being used for commercial advertisements and fake endorsements, including by online boutiques and celebrity booking platforms, without her consent. Furthermore, she alleged that AI, machine learning, and face-morphing tools are being used to create and circulate offensive content featuring her on social media.

The petition reportedly names technology companies, including Google and Reddit, as well as several AI image generation platforms and government departments as respondents. Ganguly stated that the unauthorized use of her name for private events and fake campaigns is damaging her reputation. She has requested that the court issue orders to prevent the unauthorized use of her name, photos, and likeness, and to take action against those involved in these activities.
