Suryaa Entertainment Desk: Oscar-nominated actress Rosamund Pike is set to star in and produce a new psychological body horror film titled 'Feed'. Directed by Leslye Headland, the project explores themes of social media obsession, the pursuit of online fame, and parental ambition in the digital age.
The plot centers on a mother who attempts to turn her twin gymnast daughter into a social media celebrity by administering a mysterious collagen supplement. As the child gains online recognition, she begins to experience terrifying physical transformations. The screenplay was written by Daniella Isaacs, drawing inspiration from the Finnish horror film 'Hatching'.
Pike is producing the film under her own banner, Primitive Streak, in collaboration with other production companies. The project, which addresses the culture of 'momfluencers' and the consequences of social media, has begun pre-sales at the American Film Market. Further details regarding the cast and production will be announced by the film unit in the future.
