Vigilance Awareness Week begins in South Central Railway: Ex-DGP Ravi Gupta Reveals! Surya Bureau, Secunderabad: Honesty is not just avoiding financial corruption, but true honesty is to contribute to the country's progress while performing duties ethically, Telangana Government's Center for Good Governance (CGG) Executive Vice-Chairman, Director General, retired IPS officer Ravi Gupta clarified. The inaugural function of 'Vigilance Awareness Week 2026' organized by South Central Railway (SCR) from October 26 to November 1 was held on Monday at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. This year, the weekly festival is being organized with the theme 'Satyanishtato Samriddhi'.
Release of 59th issue of Animisha Vigilance Bulletin: Ravi Gupta, General Manager of South Central Railway Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, Additional General Manager Satya Prakash and Senior Deputy GM Ashish Mehrotra launched the 59th issue of 'Animisha' Vigilance Bulletin. This bulletin is also made available on the official website of South Central Railway. GM Sanjay Kumar Srivastava took the pledge of Satyanishtha by first railway officials and staff. Where there is honesty, there is true prosperity: Addressing the gathering, Ravi Gupta emphasized that where there is honesty, there is faith, where there is faith, there is development, and where there is development, true prosperity is possible. He called for survival and development of organizations only when employees perform their duties in a proper manner with self-responsibility even when there is no supervision. He clarified that the primary responsibility of the vigilance department is not only to detect wrongdoing but also to prevent irregularities, strengthen internal systems and ensure accountability. He said maintaining transparency in the railway system, which is associated with millions of passengers and heavy freight on a regular basis, is of utmost importance to maintain public trust. AGM Satya Prakash suggested that the staff should perform their duty while protecting the constitutional values. 'Tisri Ankh' Drama Performance Awarding of Prizes to the Winners: The 'Tisri Ankh' drama presented by the railway staff was thought provoking for the audience. On this occasion, the chief guests presented prizes to the winners of the essay and poster painting competitions organized for the students of schools, colleges and railway staff in accordance with the guidelines of the Chief Vigilance Commission (CVC). Principal Heads of Departments (PHODs), Divisional Railway Managers of Secunderabad, Hyderabad and many senior officers participated in this programme.
