Suryaa News Desk: Newly elected ZPTC Nutalapati Balakoteswara Rao has stated that he will prioritize the development of Vijayawada Rural and work toward resolving public issues. Competing as the BJP candidate supported by the alliance, he won the election with a majority of 7,481 votes. Alliance candidates secured 37 out of the 40 MPTC seats in the mandal.
Speaking at a press conference, Balakoteswara Rao announced plans to provide a permanent solution to drinking water issues in villages including Prasadampadu, Enikepadu, Gudavalli, Kothapeta, and Velagaleru. He stated that he aims to supply clean drinking water to every household using Mustabad canal and Polavaram project waters, alongside Jal Jeevan Mission funds.
Addressing the urbanization of 14 villages in the mandal, he noted that he has brought the need for service roads on both sides of the Western Bypass to the attention of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. He further stated that measures will be taken to manage the Budameru flood canal from Velagaleru regulator to Enikepadu and to resolve drainage issues along railway tracks.
Additionally, he plans to develop village roads, farm paths, and other infrastructure using MGNREGA funds. Balakoteswara Rao noted that he will carry forward development works with the support of MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni), Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad, and district officials. He assured that he will work to meet the expectations of the public and lead Vijayawada Rural on a path of development.
