New Zealand continue to dominate the chase against India in the 5th T20I at Seddon Park, Hamilton, but India have finally managed to break the dangerous partnership.

Chasing 192 runs, New Zealand are 168/3 after 15.3 overs and need just 24 runs from 27 balls to win.

Seifert Falls After Sensational 93

The big wicket for India came when Tim Seifert was dismissed for a brilliant 93 off 50 balls. He smashed 10 fours and 5 sixes, keeping New Zealand firmly ahead of the required run rate.

Seifert was bowled by Nitish Kumar Reddy at 168/3 in the 15.3rd over.

Phillips Keeps New Zealand on Track

Despite losing Seifert, Glenn Phillips remains at the crease on 39 off 24 balls. He has struck four fours and two sixes at a strike rate of 162.50.

Phillips will now be looking to finish the chase alongside the next batter. New Zealand require only 24 runs from the remaining 27 deliveries, giving them a massive advantage.

Nitish Gives India a Much-Needed Breakthrough

Nitish Kumar Reddy has made an important impact with the ball, claiming Seifert's wicket. He has bowled 1.3 overs and conceded 17 runs.

Varun Chakravarthy has also taken one wicket, but has conceded 45 runs from his four overs.

New Zealand have scored 66 runs in the last five overs, losing one wicket during that period.

Match Situation

India: 191/8 (20 overs)
New Zealand: 168/3 (15.3 overs)
Target: 192
New Zealand need: 24 runs from 27 balls
Current run rate: 10.84
Required run rate: 5.33

India have finally opened the door with Seifert's wicket, but New Zealand remain overwhelming favourites with just 24 runs needed from 27 balls. The next few deliveries could determine whether India can produce a dramatic comeback or New Zealand comfortably seal the fifth T20I.
