Among the highlights shared with the people of the country as part of the Mann Ki Baat programme, he revealed that around fifty crore consultations have been completed through e-Sanjeevani, a leading national telemedicine platform. The Prime Minister appreciated that by making good use of technology, quality medical expert advice is being made available to people in remote areas.
Prime Minister Modi cited examples of tribal and common people from the most remote areas like Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Ladakh and Nagaland where they have saved their lives by getting timely medical help through the e-Sanjeevani platform. He said that more than one lakh and ninety thousand Ayushman health centers operating across the country are becoming centers of preventive health care at the village level. He praised the combination of doctors' commitment and citizen's trust for making digital healthcare services successful. This digital medical system, run by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Union Government, enables patients to get expert advice from local doctors without having to travel to big cities.
The Prime Minister said that the success of e-Sanjeevani proves how technology helps in simplifying people's daily lives. He expressed confidence that these positive changes coming in the medical field under the initiative of Digital India will expand in the future and provide better health to every poor person.
