The company has decided to raise huge funds for the expansion of data centers and state-of-the-art infrastructure, which is crucial for the artificial intelligence (AI) sector. Officials have revealed plans to raise at least $25 billion through the sale of prestigious investment-grade bonds in the US for the first time in nearly nine years.

Microsoft collectively spent more than $45 billion last quarter on data centers and related equipment to meet growing demand in the field of artificial intelligence. Economists analyze that the issuance of these bonds will be very useful to reduce the burden on the company's cash flow due to this huge capital expenditure. Market sources said that leading financial institutions such as Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase and UBS Group are conducting the bond offering. The process of issuing these bonds is divided into about 10 tranches with different time limits from two years to four years (maturity period of 40 years) and released to the market.

As Microsoft is one of the few companies with the highest triple-A (AAA) credit rating in the global market, it has easy access to financing at low interest rates. At a time when tech giants are resorting to large-scale debt markets for AI infrastructure, Microsoft's decision has become a hot topic in corporate circles.
