Suryaa Now Business Desk: The basis of share allotment for the landmark Jio Platforms initial public offering is set to be finalised on Monday, drawing intense attention from institutional and retail investors across the country. Following the close of the three-day subscription window on Friday, which saw overall bidding exceed twenty-two times the offered shares, market participants are keenly tracking the allocation results. The book-built issue, pegged at over thirty thousand crore rupees, attracted aggressive bids primarily driven by qualified institutional buyers, while individual retail applicants also oversubscribed their allocated portion.

Investors who submitted bids can review their application status through the designated online portal of KFin Technologies Limited, the official registrar appointed for the issue, as well as the public verification services of the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange. Once the registrar completes data consolidation and populates the finalized records, applicants can query their status by selecting the company name from the dropdown list and submitting their permanent account number, application number, or demat account credentials. Stock exchanges also provide direct verification tools under their public issue segments where users can confirm their allotment details with their PAN and application reference.

Market observers noted that the public issue witnessed robust institutional appetite, with the qualified institutional buyers category booking over seventy times the quota, alongside notable traction in the non-institutional segment. In the unlisted shares arena, positive grey market premiums have reflected sustained investor optimism, pointing towards healthy listing gains ahead of the formal market debut. The capital raised through the fresh equity issue is earmarked for key financial objectives, including the partial or full repayment of selected debt facilities availed by subsidiary Reliance Jio Infocomm, alongside general corporate purposes.

Following the determination of the allotment basis, the unblocking of funds held under the application supported by blocked amount process and the processing of refunds for non-allottees are scheduled to begin on Tuesday. On the same day, successful applicants will see their allotted equity shares credited directly into their demat accounts. Jio Platforms shares are tentatively slated to commence official secondary market trading on both the BSE and NSE on Wednesday, marking one of the most prominent market listings of the current calendar year.
