Suryaa Sports Desk: Indian athletes have achieved success at the Youth Olympics currently being held in Dakar, Senegal. Athletes between the ages of fifteen and eighteen competed in the event, which returned after an eight-year hiatus.

In the women's 63kg judo category, fifteen-year-old Khushboo Rajakbhai won a silver medal. She reached the final before being defeated by Germany's Jolina Reinhold. Khushboo becomes the second Indian judoka to win a medal in Youth Olympics history, following Thangjam Tababi Devi’s silver in 2018.

In swimming, sixteen-year-old Dhinidhi secured a bronze medal in the women's 100-meter freestyle event with a time of 56.27 seconds. Croatia's Ana Babanovic won gold with a time of 55.89 seconds, while New Zealand's Alisa Lawson took silver with 56.13 seconds. This achievement marks a rare instance of India winning a medal in swimming on an international Olympic stage.
