Suryaa Sports Desk: Ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League season, a significant player trade is reportedly nearing completion. According to sources, Hardik Pandya is set to move from the Mumbai Indians to the Punjab Kings, while Punjab Kings pacer Arshdeep Singh is expected to join the Mumbai Indians.
Management from both franchises have reportedly reached a decision regarding the exchange. Hardik Pandya, who previously returned to Mumbai Indians from Gujarat Titans to lead the team, will join the Punjab Kings, where Shreyas Iyer serves as captain. Reports suggest Pandya is prepared to play as an all-rounder for the team.
Mumbai Indians, aiming to strengthen their pace bowling department, have opted for this trade to acquire the left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh. Additionally, trade sources indicate that wicket-keeper batter Vishnu Vinod may also move from Punjab to Mumbai as part of this deal.
The franchises are expected to make an official announcement regarding this exchange before the IPL player retention deadline in mid-November.
