On reaching the police station, the SP was saluted by the staff of the station. Later, he examined the station surroundings, reception counter, records management, details of staff duties, and asked the concerned officials about the operation of the police station. Speaking on this occasion, he suggested that the staff should work to make every complainant who comes to the police station believe that justice will be done. He said that the reputation of the police department should be enhanced by treating people with courtesy.
He clarified that every police officer should act responsibly in providing better services to the people. He directed to complete the investigation and file the charge sheets within the stipulated time so that the criminals are punished. He advised to keep a constant vigil on the people who disturb the peace and to monitor the movements of the old criminals, rowdy sheeters and those involved in anti-social activities. He ordered to strengthen patrolling at night and take preventive measures to prevent thefts and other crimes. It was suggested that awareness programs should be organized at the village level so that the youth do not become addicted to ganja and other drugs.
It is advised to pay special attention to the safety of women and girls, respond immediately to complaints related to crimes against women and stand by the victims. Crime records, case diaries, general diary, FIR registers, details of court cases and other important records of the police station should be examined and updated from time to time.
