Suryaa National Desk: The intensity of winter is gradually increasing in the national capital, Delhi. On November 1, the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 18 degrees Celsius, which is approximately 1.9 degrees Celsius below the normal average. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that this is the lowest minimum temperature recorded on November 1 since 2023. Temperatures in the city are dropping rapidly during the night and early morning hours due to the influence of cold winds blowing from the northern mountainous regions.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 29 degrees Celsius, marking the lowest maximum temperature for November 1 since 2021. Humidity levels in the evening were recorded at approximately 75 percent, and the intensity of fog is gradually increasing. Environmental experts have expressed concern that the combination of falling temperatures and reduced wind speed could lead to an increase in air pollution.

Weather experts anticipate that minimum temperatures in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) may drop further to between 15 and 16 degrees Celsius in the coming days. Medical professionals have advised that people traveling during the early morning and night, particularly the elderly and those with respiratory issues, should take necessary precautions as cold conditions intensify.
