Suryaa Entertainment Desk: The latest film from the famous Hollywood production company DC Comics is a new body horror thriller... 'Clayface' is the latest body horror thriller from the famous Hollywood production company DC Comics. Directed by James Watkins, Hollywood lovers and DC fans have high expectations from the beginning. There is a talk in the movie circles that this movie will give a kind of relief to DC Comics, which is somewhat behind due to successive failures. Now let's see to what extent this movie, shaped by the origin story of 'Clayface', who is known as the scariest villain in the Batman franchise, has impressed the audience. When it comes to the story of the movie, Matt Hagan (Tom Rhys Harris), a rising actor in Hollywood, gets nominated for an Oscar for his performance. Hagen goes to a party with a friend, where he meets Mia Torres, girlfriend of gangster Margos, and becomes close with her.

Gangster Margos, enraged at this, stabs Hagen in the face with a knife and mutilates him. Desperate to lose her good looks and career, Hagen undergoes an experimental 'nanocell' treatment with the help of Dr. Caitlin Gore. Not only does his form return after this treatment, but in moments of injury to his body, Mana gains superhuman powers. The rest of the story is how Hagen took revenge on those who harmed him with those powers. Director James Watkins has directed this film with the most terrifying and thrilling body horror sequences. Storytelling by Mike Flanagan and Hussain Amini will keep the audience on their toes.

As is usually the case with superhero movies, the negative shades and revenge elevations in the protagonist's character give it a next-level feel like a Joker movie. However, analysts say that the movie is not suitable for the weak minded and children as it has a lot of intense violence and scary visuals. As far as the acting is concerned, Tom Rhys Harris as Matt Hagen gives an excellent performance. His cultivated emotions and voice modulation as an actor, victim and villain are major strengths of the film. Naomi Aoki as the heroine and David Dencik as the villain have done full justice to their roles. Technically, the background music and sound mixing by Volker Bertelmann add to the intensity of the film. Though some questions are raised in terms of logic, 'Clayface' is a good thrill ride for those who love DC comics and body horror thriller films.
