At present, the concerns of 'Gen-Z' (Gen Z) youth on the streets have become a hot topic of discussion around the world, especially in European countries. In countries like France, Italy, Albania, Serbia, students and youth are protesting on a large scale and the governments are stifling. Experts analyze economic disparities, unemployment, rising cost of living, lack of infrastructure in the education sector and apathetic attitude of governments as the main reasons for this youth anger, which has been smoldering for decades.

The protestors are expressing their grief that the traditional education systems and job opportunities that the youth have believed in for generations are failing completely today. The lack of proper employment despite completion of degrees and the exorbitant increase in house rents are leaving the dream of owning a dream to the youth. On the other hand, Gen-Z accuses the politicians and the old government of ignoring their problems and only focusing on their own selfish politics. Lack of transparency in the political system and increasing corruption have also fueled these protests.

Observers note that the proliferation of technology and social media has enabled youth around the world to rapidly mobilize around their issues. Youth believe that mere appeals will not bring any change and governments will come down only through direct agitations. Analysts are of the view that these protests are becoming an important milestone for people to make their voices heard in the democratic system and take the future into their own hands. These types of concerns are likely to escalate if governments do not urgently focus on youth issues and implement economic and social reforms.
