Suryaa Sports Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a change in venue for the first ODI of the upcoming limited-overs series between India and Sri Lanka. The match, originally scheduled for December 13 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, has been moved to the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
The decision follows a request from the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) citing potential challenges in hosting the match due to adverse weather conditions, air pollution, and ongoing infrastructure renovation work at the Delhi stadium. In response, the BCCI relocated the fixture to ensure the convenience of the players and the smooth conduct of the match.
The three-match ODI series will now commence in Visakhapatnam on December 13, with subsequent matches scheduled in other cities. Following the conclusion of the ODI series, the two teams are set to compete in a three-match T20 series.
