Authorities stated that permission to operate will be granted only after these safety measures are implemented.
Regional Fire Officer Ch. Ratnababu confirmed that permissions for firecracker shops have been granted at three locations within the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation limits: Grounds, Sitara Grounds, and the Makineni Basavapunnaiah Stadium. Fire officials inspected the availability of safety equipment at these sites and provided training to traders.
To ensure safety during the Diwali season, a fire engine will be stationed at each designated sales area in coordination with the District Fire Department. Officials urged the public to follow safety standards while purchasing and using firecrackers. The event was attended by DF Malyadri, SFO Naresh, and others.
