Ramagiri SSI Pradeep Raju Madhusudan Goud Ramagiri Surya: Ramagiri police seized a vehicle illegally transporting subsidized ration rice provided by the government to the poor. Speaking to SSI Pradeep Raju, he said that about 15 tons of rice was seized at Penugolu, which was being transported from Gutti to Karnataka Eicher in a vehicle. He stated that this vehicle was caught during the checks carried out as part of curbing smuggling of ration rice.
It is said that surveillance is being continued to ensure that the rice provided to the poor through the government ration system is not illegally diverted to other areas. Deputy Tehsildar Shankar, Revenue staff, Police staff Lakshminarayana Reddy and others participated in this program.
